The picturesque Giovo Castle
Built by the gentlemen of Passiria in the Middle Ages, the picturesque Giovo Castle is perched overlooking San Leonardo in Passiria. The castle keep belongs to the Passiria Museum and is open to visitors. Illustrated boards document the history of the castle, and convey interesting information about the Schildhöfe residence, the Fuchs counts, the gentlemen of Passiria and the court of Passiria. On the fourth floor of the site you will find amazing Renaissance paintings from the 16th century by painter Bartlmä Dill Riemenschneider. The fifth and final floor will captivate you with a breathtaking panoramic view and a listening station, where you will be able to hear many sayings about the castle.
